A portrait of a member of one of the Walker families of Forest Grove, Oregon. It is in carte-de-visite format, probably dating from the 1870s or 1880s. There were two prominent Walker families and it is unclear which of the two this man belonged to. Based on contextual clues, this man was probably one of the "musical" Walkers, related to the shoemaker and fiddler Samuel A. T. Walker.
